It wouldn't be America if there weren't at least two competing leagues.

Professional Sports is hard. That's awesome. Who's going to pick the ball up once Peter decides to move onto his next project? NISA on paper and in theory was good. Once Peter got it up and running and off the ground, he left for a new project. The people left in charge couldn't keep it going.
I don't doubt that these new leagues will happen. I have serious doubts that they'll last after the startup phase though. Peter is great at getting new leagues and teams up and running. That's his speciality, and it's a skillset that not many people have. Once he's done his job, someone else has to come in and take that ball and it keep it going. That second phase takes a different set of skills. 4.

LA Force of Long Beach set a new attendance record hosting the 2024 NISA Championship game.
(Packing 1,447 fans in a 11,600 seater stadium is not the term I would use however) 5.

It's even harder when you have no money, no experience and no vision.
The whole "League for Clubs" bit, the hairdresser with the retro brands no one cared about the first time, this lot, whatever else comes around...they're all there and gone.
Unless they have serious money, they should STFU. The whole "oh, this should be grassroots" ship sailed ages ago.

But did Blackburn Olympic need money when they won the FA Cup?.Nope but that's why they were usurped by Blackburn Rovers, with their mighty £615 payroll and subsequently failed in 1889.
I don't know where people get the idea that growing football, or any professional support from grass roots and working upwards works. It's always been about money. Growth has always been from the top down.

Does any sport even have grassroots in America? Yes, there's youth sports, but those only exist as a development system for college/pro. 9.

The only sports I can think of with widespread geographic adult participation at the grass roots level are softball and soccer. 10.

I would not say that youth sports ONLY exist as development for college/pro. Lots of places have youth sports to give kids something to do. The little league baseball and football that I played knew that very few, if any, of the kids were going to play even in college. Heck, most of them didn't even make high school teams.
And there are a lot of amateur adult sports leagues around the country. How are those not grassroots? 11.

I admittedly overreacted in what I wrote, Probably a side effect of covering baseball prospects and hearing uninformed people spouting MLB Draft/college recruiting takes six years out based on U12 performance. 12.

If it were, it would be decidedly inefficient, given the very small number of youth sports participants who go on to play in college, much less professionally.
Youth sports are a part of the culture. They can be a positive experience for young people to learn a great many things about life and about themselves. For the vast majority, it's as high a level of sports participation as they will ever reach, and there's nothing wrong with that.
And, obviously, the vast majority of American athletes who are currently pros had to start playing somewhere. But the vast majority of those who started in youth sports won't be pros.
And you can't do this Little Club That Could, ABC Afterschool Special nonsense of claiming you're going to create a team or a league from nothing and build it up to play in the Club World Cup someday. That's just not realistic.
