Defense has been shaky at times. Struggling to create scoring opportunities. Ecuador has had possession more than I would have guessed.
Moises picked up a yellow card so he’ll miss the game against Bolivia.
cabezamagica repped this. 3.

Peru is beating Brazil. It’s still early but that’s surprising. 4.

Arguably the best final 15-20 minutes I’ve seen Ecuador play in an away game in a while. 5.

For real.
Those 1-2s opened up their defense nicely.
Plata came back with a good game. As much criticism as we give the man, he can create dangerous plays on his own. 6.

I liked what I saw from Plata too. Enner can’t start. I know he scored against Peru but he’s in terrible form. Rodriguez gave the Uruguayan defenders trouble. 7.

Rodriguez needs to start. The dude can dribble and knows when to protect the ball as well as when to pass it. 8.

Imo Galindez had a good performance. Defensively we did meh, contributed offensively but had a few lapses where Uruguay could’ve punished.Moises had a good game, I’m glad he took that yellow cuz it guarantees we get him for Colombia. Franco did what was expected of him. Plata had a good game, I expect he’ll be starting more.
Beccacece has produced 5/12pts while only scoring and conceding 1 goal. Imo not a great start but there’s still a lot of time to improve. He needs to start Rodriguez over Enner. I hope against Bolivia he uses a back line of 4 with Rodriguez and Zambrano, would be nice to have Yeboah, Sarmiento and Plata on the pitch too. 9.

A point in Uruguay is about what I expected.
Sadly, we are struggling offensively when it comes to needing to shoot.
Enner might be part of the problem, but our options are still thin.
Rodriguez needs more time in matches, but besides drawing defenders and opening space, it's quite clear that we still lack the shooter to alleviate the burden.
As for the rest of the team- someone's gotta step up. There is too much talent to be in this type of performance drought. Ties are better than losses, but not ideal when we're -3 in points and seeing the tightest table in recent history. 10.

Uruguay didn’t play well in the second half. We were a bit lucky in the first half. Galindez made a spectacular save and Uruguay hit the post on another occasion.
Enner should still be part of the NT but he shouldn’t start anymore. Rodriguez is the better alternative at the moment. I’d like to see Anderson Julio get an opportunity. 11.

In other news, our u-17 womens team is headed off to a Quater-Final Match against Spain. Not a bad run for a first appearance, 2 wins 1 loss and some good goals, they are also the only South American team left. 12.

Franco is in the Libertadores Final with Miniero. Botafogo is on a rampage though. They slaughtered Penarol who hadnt given up a single goal in the whole tourney 5-0.
Will be a good watch. Franco has been in very good form lately.
Caicedo is having the season of his career.
Rodriguez know how to shield and hold the ball but is not a shooter, he is soooo bad, I keep seeing him miss wide open shots at St. Galloise (not sure how he still gets minutes and starts).
Zambrano and Jeremy seem to be hot and cold in the championship.
Pervis is slowly winning back his position and confidence, will be interesting to see him back in shape for eliminatorias. We have not looked the same since his injury vs Uruguay last year. Chavez has been in and out of the Lens starting line up - not sure whats going on there.
Pacho and Hincapie as always have been holding it down as staples for their teams.
Plata has been relegated to the bench but just scored his first goal in Brazil as a sub this weekend. Let's see if he wakes up.
Mercado might be the only offensive player we have that is consistently starting TBH, havent checked on Valencia or Minda.
WE MUST BEAT Bolivia. The table has tightened immensely and we have dropped critical points at home vs Paraguay and Colombia. Nos queda Venezuela y Arg y Bra en casa, its going to get very ugly if we cant beat Bolivia 14.

Torres has been solid with the NT but I do think it’s time Ordóñez gets an opportunity. 17.

He hasnt been shining lately. With Bas we really worked on our set piece game and crosses. This was the only way Bas would manage to get the team to score and pull result. Felix Torres shined because there he would get on the score board. We lost that with Beccacece
In his recent games he had a few mistakes where Pacho and Hincapie had to cover for him. Poor clearing, lost his marking/ positioning. His lack of being able to move the ball up makes Alan Franco play way too back we end up up loosing a midfielder playing Torres.
Ordonez could potential fix those issues and add alot to our defensive line. He could possibly make the back line of 3 work the way we want it to. 18.

BSC with a 8-1 today. It’s time Segundo Castillo gets a fair shake as manager.
\^the king^/ and GPisco repped this. 19.
Agreed.
Ordóñez might get his shot sooner than we think if Pieros knock this weekend is more serious than initially thought.
