when talking about BVB's shit track record for youth. Add another youth to list.
05 M Lubach is making his 3rd XI of season for 2BL FCN. So now after Bischof, Klemens (also CB) and Gruger we have our 4th 05 M who is breakingthrough relevant pro XIs too. Plenty of others are working their way through breakthroughs too.
funny part if Lubach had stayed and yes BVB wanted him to extend he likely would be on 3rd Liga BVB II bench because that II is rubbish with own youth.
now Lubach could by Summer 2026 end up in 1BL. This Summer is too early for upwards jump.
the reason why BVB is shit with youth isn't about 1st team its also because they sabotage their own youth at the II level too. 2.

-AM/W Gebel,=2 caps in DFB Cups and looks like regular in matchday squads of 1BL Leipzig
-AM/W Onyeka=made debut in DFB Cup for 1BL Bayer. Recently been regular in matchday squads too.
-M Schmitz=regular on bench of 1BL Pauli, knocking on door for debut
-M Lum=has 3 2BL caps for Hertha
-M Engelns=brokethrough XI of 2BL Paderborn
-RB Pedrosa=made 2BL/pro debut for KSCall of these players looking like either regulars in matchday squads or very recently became regulars in matchday squad. So far only 1/7 has yet to make pro debut.

reality, RBs from 04-onwards are the most interesting lot with
04-Morgalla (alternates between XI and bench for Salzburg, so still working his way into regular XI), 04-Oliveira (2BL), 04-Eitschberger (3rd Liga XI loan), 04-Ba (2BL), 05-Baum (2BL XI on loan), 06-Bulut (2BL XI), 06-Moreira (EPL), 07-Pedrosa (2BL) etc.rest have all played EPL-2BL-Austrian 1st this season and all working their way to breakthroughs.

mix of slow start to season+injured. Its a wait and see, I always prefer to see U19 to 1st team over U17 to 1st team because a lot of players look good in U17 but might fizzle in U19.
I think Bayer sees Onyeka as the player who has the most prospects to breakthrough the 1st team. Although the club has loads of talented 07 players, my bet its 0 or 1 who make the 1st team directly, the rest will either leave perm or end up on loan. 15.

03 LB Brown+04 CB Collins BOTH in back to back 1BL XI for Frankfurt, 3 back to back XIs for Collins too as he was also XI for EL mid-week.
now confirmed that after
03-Netz and 04-Rothe that 03-Brown and 04-Ullrich are the next LBs to breakthrough 1BL XI too.from ONLY Netz last season to now 4, a X4 jump and this is why I find the triggered reactions from troll poster, DFB, Media etc hilarious. They all act like every season we don't get new players emerging in every position. So trickiest to breakthrough in 1BL so far has been GK, RB, CB. CF are getting chances but to be 1st choice XI CF isn't easy.
the USA fans seem very keen on poaching Brown. LOL, USA could have a full squad of duals that could emerge in future after Tillman (poached) and Brown+Downs (both still with Germany). I think I've seen German-American players in every position from 02-onwards outside of RB. 16.

04-Gechter (2BL XI when fit), 04-Collins (1BL XI), 04-Blank (Austrian 1st, working his way), 04-Bakatukanda (2BL working his way), 04-Quarshie (2BL working his way), 05-Buchmann, 05-Pauli (1BL XI), 05-Drexler (between 1BL XI and Bench), 05-Seidel (between 2BL XI and bench), 05-Munz (2BL working his way), 06-Jeltsch (2BL XI), 06-Wurm (2BL XI) etcinteresting to note that 05 DM/CB Klemens has been used at CB in past 2 matches for 2BL Hertha. Used to be CB then converted to DM now might be back at CB.
a 05 CB Hoffmann who is 3rd Liga loan XI could also become candidate next season too.

Drexler+Collins already in 1BL. If Gechter would stop being injured would already be in 1BL, still hoping he goes upwards in Summer. Pauli+Jeltsch are already attracting interest from 1BL level. Buchmann is huge question mark since he has yet to play this season, do hope he doesn't rot too long in RL with Bayern. What's likelihood he even breakthrough, feels like he'll be forced on loan, the earlier the better. 24.
