Lošninjska plovidba d.d., based in Mali Lošinj, was established in 1956 for international and coastal transport, including beside shipping ship-building and tourism. In 1962, it integraded the Kvarner company, established in 1954. In 1986, it maintained a fleet of 21 merchant ships, including 5 ro-ro ships.
