The satiric journal "Daily Squib" (est. 1862) shows on 6 July 2008 a "new Iraq flag" as "unveiled by Iraqi Prime Minister yesterday." The changes in the flag are the additions of a few corporate logos, as follows:
- in the red stripe:
- KBR (an engineering and construction company, formerly a subsidiary of Halliburton)
- Blackwater (a private military company), and
- Halliburton (an egineering and construction company) itself;
- in the white stripe:
- in the black stripe: Exxon (another oil company). There is also the logo of "The Squib" in green, in the white stripe under the part of the writing closest to the hoist (the "Akbar" in "Allahu Akbar").
