Together they had five children, three sons (Bungo, Longo and Bingo) and two daughters (Belba and Linda). Through Bungo, she was a grandmother of Bilbo Baggins, and through Longo she was also a grandmother of Otho Sackville-Baggins. It was this family connection that made Otho Bilbo's legal heir until his official adoption of Frodo. After the death of her husband in III 2900 (or 1300 by the Shire-reckoning), she succeeded him to become the head of the Baggins family, a position she held for the following sixteen years until her own death in III 2916 (S.R. 1316) at the age of one hundred and two.
