panichi (1914) classified as "kalinite" a mineral appearing as an asbestous felt or a white compact furlike coating, consisting of an assembly of fibres of variable length with a slightly sericeous lustre, in association with alunogen, gypsum, salammoniac, and other sulfates. According to Campostrini et al. (2011), "kalinite" of Panichi is verisimilarly a mixture of alum-K, pickeringite, and gypsum.
