About NatroglaucoceriniteHide

Formula:

Zn6Al3(OH)18[Na(H2O)6](SO4)2 · 6H2O

Name:

For its relationship to glaucocerinite.

Co-Type Localities:

Hilarion Mine, Kamariza Mines (Kamareza Mines), Agios Konstantinos (Kamariza), Lavrion Mining District, Lavreotiki, East Attica, Attica, Greece
Serpieri Mine, Kamariza Mines (Kamareza Mines), Agios Konstantinos (Kamariza), Lavrion mining district, Lavreotiki, East Attica, Attica, Greece

Approved by the IMA in 1995, but apparently the description has not been published yet. The following information is based on the data for Glaucocerinite - a "best guess" as to the data for this species. It will have to be edited when the description is forthcoming.
As part of the recent re-evaluation of the nomenclature of the hydrotalcite supergroup (Mills et al., 2012), natroglaucocerinite was identified as a questionable species which needs further investigation.

An X-ray powder diffraction pattern is given on the ICDD card 48-1849 (see also the abstract of Witzke et al., 1995).
