(Ba,Ca)(Mn,Fe,Mg)22(Si,Al)32O76(OH)16 · 12H2O

Author's formula: (Ba,Ca)(K,H3O)(Mn2+,Mg,Fe2+)21(Si,Al)32(O,OH)92·H2O.

The unnamed Ba-analogue of bannisterite. Originally reported by Matsubara & Kato (1989).
Chemically inhomogeneous; some Ba-poor analyses actually are K-dominant, with K > (Ba+Ca).
Compare demagistrisite.

Occurs in veinlets cutting massive caryopilite-rhodochrosite ore; the ore is is also cut by veinlets of a manganoan chlorite group species, and Ba-enriched orthoclase.
