Asynchronously writes the property name of a name/value pair of a JSON object.

Syntax

Parameters

name

Type: SystemString
The name of the property.

escape

Type: SystemBoolean
A flag to indicate whether the text should be escaped when it is written as a JSON property name.

cancellationToken (Optional)

Type: System.ThreadingCancellationToken
The token to monitor for cancellation requests. The default value is None.

Return Value

Type: Task
A Task that represents the asynchronous operation.

Remarks

Derived classes must override this method to get asynchronous behaviour. Otherwise it will execute synchronously, returning an already-completed task.
