What to expect

When it comes to art museums, Villa Borghese is in a league of its own. In 2 hours, you will wander the Villa's rooms and admire incomparable masterpieces in each one of them. No other place is so full of beauty in such a small space. With the influx of visitors strictly controlled by the museum, you won’t have to strain to hear your expert guide explain the history of each work.

Imagine a palace that was specifically built to house amazing works of art. The Villa's 20 rooms are treasure troves of visual splendor; each wall features a masterpiece, each pedestal supports finely carved marble and even the ceilings sing with divine frescoes.

Galleria Borghese is Rome's most exclusive and intimate art museum. Specially built in the 17th century by Cardinal Scipione Borghese to house his magnificent art collection, it was once only open to royals and visiting dignitaries.

Your expert guide will show you the works with incredible passion and will narrate all the behind-the-scenes that offer depth and nuances to each work. From the whims of Cardinal Borghese to the heartbreaking story of the commissioning of Raphael's Borghese Deposition, you will experience a unique journey through art.

During your visit you will discover The Rape of Proserpine, Apollo and Daphne and David by Gianlorenzo Bernini, Pauline Bonaparte by Canova, David and Goliath and St. John the Baptist by Caravaggio, the Borghese Deposition and The Lady with the Unicorn by Raphael, The Flagellation of Christ by Titian, The Last Supper by Bassano and many other works of art.
