The 2001 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships was a men's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the Westside Tennis Club in Houston, Texas in the United States and was part of the International Series of the 2001 ATP Tour. It was the 33rd edition of the tournament and ran from April 30 through May 6, 2001. Unseeded Andy Roddick, who entered the main draw on a wildcard, won the singles title.

Es war das erste Mal, dass das Turnier dort stattfand, nachdem es zuvor in Orlando stattgefunden hatte. Titelverteidiger im Einzel war der Chilene Fernando González, der in diesem Jahr in der ersten Runde ausschied. Stattdessen siegte der US-Amerikaner Andy Roddick, der mit einer Wildcard gestartet war. Er gewann seinen ersten Titel von drei Titeln in Houston und den zweiten Titel seiner Karriere. Im Finale unterlag ihm der Koreaner Lee Hyung-taik, der erstmals ein Finale erreicht hatte. Im Doppel siegte die an Position 2 gesetzte indische Paarung bestehend aus Leander Paes und Mahesh Bhupathi. Paes hatte das Turnier bereits im Vorjahr an der Seite von Jan Siemerink gewonnen, der diesmal mit einem anderen Partner im Viertelfinale ausschied. Es war der 18. gemeinsame Titel der beiden. Das Teilnehmerfeld der Einzelkonkurrenz bestand aus 32 Spielern, jenes der Doppelkonkurrenz aus 16 Paaren. Das Gesamtpreisgeld betrug 325.000 US-Dollar; die gesamten finanziellen Verbindlichkeiten lagen bei 350.000 US-Dollar.
