Ein API-Ölabscheider ist ein Gerät, das große Mengen Öl und gelöste Feststoffe vom Abwasser von Ölraffinerien, (petro)chemischen und anderen Industrieanlagen trennen soll. Der Name API bezeichnet hierbei den Standard des American Petroleum Institute, nach dem solche Geräte entworfen werden.
