Casma ist die Hauptstadt der Provinz Casma in der Region Ancash im zentralen Westen von Peru. Die Stadt ist Verwaltungssitz des gleichnamigen Distrikts. Beim Zensus 2017 wurden 24.760 Einwohner gezählt.

The nearby Pacific coastline boasts beaches such as La Gramita, El Litro, Punta el Huaro and Tortugas. Posiblemente su etimología derive de la lengua extinta quingnam. Alrededor de la ciudad se encuentran varios sitios arqueológicos como Sechín, Chanquillo, Mojeque y Las Haldas. En sus costas posee playas como La Gramita, El Litro, Punta El Huaro y Tortugas. La patrona de Casma es santa María Magdalena, cuya fiesta se celebra el 22 de julio.
