Der Verband der Europäischen chemischen Industrie (CEFIC von französisch: Conseil Européen des Fédérations de l’Industrie Chimique), heutiger Eigenname European Chemical Industry Council, ist der Wirtschaftsverband der europäischen chemischen Industrie mit Sitz in Brüssel. CEFIC vertritt die politischen Interessen der chemischen Industrie auf der europäischen Ebene. Die internationale Arbeit wird über den internationalen Chemieverband International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) gesteuert, in dem der CEFIC Mitglied ist.

It was founded in 1972. Its headquarters are located in Brussels. Cefic is a not-for-profit making organization which represents 28,000 large, medium and small chemical companies in Europe, interacting on behalf of their members with international and EU institutions, non-governmental organisations, the international media, and other stakeholders. The chemical industry is indispensable to Europe’s strong and sustainable economy of the future, with over 1.2 million workers, €499 billion turnover and €9.4 billion R&I investments. Cefic supports the Paris Climate Agreement and a strong action on climate change in line with the scientific advice provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Cefic also supports the European Green Deal and Europe’s ambition to become climate neutral by 2050. Le compagnie chimiche contano un totale di 1,2 milioni di occupati nell'Unione Europea. (it) European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) är en branschorganisation som representerar omkring 29 000 företag inom den europeiska kemiska industrin. 1959 bildades Secrétariat International des Groupements Professionnels des Industries Chimiques des Pays de la CEE (S.I.I.C) och två år senare bildades även Conseil Européen des Féderations de l'Industrie Chimique. 1972 valde man att slå ihop de två intresseorganisationerna och bytte namn till CEFIC för att få större gehör på den internationella marknaden.
