Cuarenta Casas (spanisch; Vierzig Häuser) bezeichnet eine Reihe von eng benachbarten Höhlenbauten im westlichen Teil des mexikanischen Bundesstaates Chihuahua. Sie liegt am nordwestlichen (d. h. der Sonne zugewandten) Felsrand des kleinen Wasserlaufes Arroyo del Garabato, rund 41 km nördlich der Kleinstadt .

Located in in the municipality of Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Forty Houses is believed to be the southernmost site related to the period of Mogollon influence. The site consists of a series of cliff dwellings built in natural caves in the cliffs of Huapoca Canyon. The best known is the Cueva de las Ventanas (Cave of the Windows). Early Spanish explorers named the site Cuarenta Casas (forty houses) based on their speculation of the total number of structures. The area consists of five main cave communities: Cueva del Puente, Cueva de la Serpiente, Nido del Aguila and Cueva Grande. En esa zona se encuentran varias cuevas con construcciones en su interior, de ellas la más conocida es la Cueva de las Ventanas. Las Cuarenta Casas recibieron ese nombre porque se pensó que había cuarenta casas, el nombre se ha respetado. Se piensa uno de los propósitos de la fundación de Cuarenta Casas fue para proteger rutas comerciales de Paquimé, y que este centro cultural regional debió tener dificultades con las rutas comerciales, por lo que fue necesario protegerla de vecinos hostiles.
