Der Kommissar für Digitale Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft war ein Mitglied der Europäischen Kommission. Er war auf Ebene der Europäischen Union zuständig für die Förderung, Weiterentwicklung und Verbreitung von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien einschließlich der Telekommunikation. Ihm war die Generaldirektion für Kommunikationsnetze, Inhalte und Technologien (GD Connect, CNECT) zugeordnet. Das Amt des Kommissars für Digitale Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft existierte seit 1985 unter verschiedenen Bezeichnungen. Zuletzt hieß es bis 2014 Digitale Agenda. Letzte Amtsinhaberin in der Kommission Juncker, die im November 2014 ihre Tätigkeit aufnahm, war seit 10. Juli 2017 die Bulgarin Marija Gabriel. The current officeholder is Margrethe Vestager since December 2019. The portfolio was previously Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society (previously for Digital Agenda).
