Friday the 13th: The Series is a fantasy horror television series that ran for three seasons, from October 3, 1987, to May 26, 1990, in first-run syndication. The series follows Micki and Ryan, inherited owners of an antiques store, which they learn is cursed from Jack Marshak only after they have sold all of the cursed antiques. The trio then work together to try and recover them to put them back into the safety of the shop's vault. Originally, the series was to be titled The 13th Hour, but producer Frank Mancuso Jr. thought this would turn away viewers and instead took the name Friday the 13th to deliberately draw in audiences. Despite this title, the series has no story connections to the film series of the same title, as Jason Voorhees does not make an appearance, nor does any character connected to the films. The series and the films have several cast and crew ties, however. The show's producer, Frank Mancuso Jr., was producer of the film series from Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) until the final installment distributed by Paramount (Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan in 1989, a year before the TV series ended). One of the show's stars, John D. LeMay, went on to star in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, guest star John Shepherd played Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, and episode director David Cronenberg appeared in Jason X. Fred Mollin, Rob Hedden, and Tom McLoughlin worked behind the scenes of both series. (en)
Vendredi 13 ou L'Entrepôt du diable ou La Boutique aux maléfices (Friday the 13th: The Series) est une série télévisée américaine constituée de 72 épisodes d'une durée de 43 minutes par épisode, créée par Frank Mancuso Jr. et diffusée entre le 28 septembre 1987 et le 26 mai 1990 en syndication. Cette série n'a rien à voir avec le personnage Jason Voorhees. En France, seule la première saison a été diffusée en commençant par un téléfilm de 90 minutes intitulé Vendredi 13: La Couette d'Aphrodite (montage des épisodes 19 et 20), programmé le vendredi 10 novembre 1989 à 20h40. Puis la suite chaque lundi à 22h45 à partir du 13 novembre 1989 dans Les Accords du Diable sur La Cinq.Puis rediffusion partielle sous le titre L'Entrepôt du diable du 1er juillet 1994 au 16 septembre 1994, puis du 11 janvier 1995 au 22 février 1995, et enfin du 6 juillet 1998 au 31 août 1998 sur TF1.Les deux premiers épisodes de la saison 3 sont sortis en France en VHS sous la forme d'un téléfilm nommé Prophéties. En Belgique, la série a été diffusée par RTL-TVI le vendredi en fin de soirée entre 1989 et 1990, et au Québec à partir de février 2000 à Séries+. (fr)

Poszczególne odcinki wyreżyserowali tacy twórcy, jak David Cronenberg, Atom Egoyan, i Tom McLoughlin. Friday the 13th: The Series é uma série canadense de horror criada para a televisão e exibida entre 1987 e 1990. Foi exibida no Brasil com nome de Sexta-Feira 13 - O Legado, e era transmitida pela Rede Globo com o nome de Loja do Terror. Foi inteiramente filmada na cidade de Toronto, no Canadá. Originalmente a série se chamaria The 13th Hour ("A 13ª Hora"), porém o produtor Frank Mancuso, Jr. acreditou que isto poderia afastar muitos telespectadores, e preferiu o nome Friday the 13th, para atrair deliberadamente mais público. Apesar deste título, a série não tem qualquer ligação com a franquia Sexta-feira 13, já que Jason Voorhees não aparece em nenhum episódio. As duas séries, no entanto, tem diversas associações em seu elenco e na equipe que o produziu; o produtor do programa, Mancuso, Jr., também produziu os filmes da série, desde Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) até a parte final, distribuída pela Paramount (Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, em 1989, um ano antes do fim da série televisiva). A estrela do programa, John D.
