Harvey Washington Wiley (* 18. Oktober 1844; † 30. Juni 1930) war ein amerikanischer Chemiker, der für den 1906 beschlossenen Pure Food and Drug Act sowie danach in den Good Housekeeping Institute Laboratories arbeitete. Er war der erste Beauftragte der amerikanischen Lebensmittelbehörde United States Food and Drug Administration. Wiley war ab 1904 gewähltes Mitglied der American Philosophical Society. Er erhielt 1910 die Auszeichnung Elliott Cresson Medal des Franklin Institutes. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Publikationen im Bereich der Lebensmittelverfälschung. (de)
Harvey Washington Wiley (October 18, 1844 – June 30, 1930) was an American chemist who fought for the passage of the landmark Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 and subsequently worked at the Good Housekeeping Institute laboratories. He was the first commissioner of the United States Food and Drug Administration. In 1904 Wiley was elected a member of the American Philosophical Society. In 1910 he was awarded the Elliott Cresson Medal of the Franklin Institute. (en)
