كريستين إستيلا لوتر (بالإنجليزية: Kristin Estella Lauter)‏ (من مواليد 1969)، هي عالمة رياضيات أمريكية وعالمة تشفير، تتركز اهتماماتها البحثية على نطاق واسع في تطبيق نظرية الأعداد والهندسة الجبرية في علم التشفير. وهي معروفة بشكل خاص بعملها في مجال تشفير المنحنى الإهليلجي. وهي حاليًا باحثة ورئيسة مجموعة التشفير في معهد أبحاث مايكروسوفت في ريدموند، واشنطن، وهي التي طورت لميكروسوفت «مكتبة بسيطة للتشفير» أو "SEAL". أصبحت لوتر الرئيسة المنتخبة لجمعية المرأة للرياضيات في فبراير 2014. وشغلت منصب الرئيس في 1 فبراير 2015 - 31 يناير 2017. Kristin Estella Lauter (* 8. Dezember 1969 in Wisconsin) ist eine US-amerikanische Mathematikerin. Kristin Lauter studierte Mathematik an der University of Chicago mit dem Bachelor-Abschluss 1990 sowie dem Master-Abschluss 1991 und wurde dort 1996 bei Niels Nygaard promoviert (Ray class field constructions of curves over finite fields with many rational points). Von 1996 bis 1999 war sie T. H. Hildebrandt Research Assistant Professor an der University of Michigan. Außerdem war sie am Institut de Mathematiques Luminy und am Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik in Bonn. Ab 2000 war sie bei Microsoft Research. 2006 wurde sie dort Senior Researcher und 2008 Principal Researcher sowie Forschungsmanager in der Kryptographie-Gruppe. Sie lehrt auch an der University of Washington. Sie befasst sich mit arithmetischer Geometrie mit Anwendungen in der Kryptographie (Elliptic Curve Cryptography, Homomorphe Verschlüsselung, Supersinguläre Isogenie-Graphen in der Kryptographie). Von 2015 bis 2017 war sie Präsidentin der Association for Women in Mathematics. Kristin Estella Lauter (born 1969) is an American mathematician and cryptographer whose research interest is broadly in application of number theory and algebraic geometry in cryptography. She is particularly known for her work in the area of elliptic curve cryptography. She was a researcher at Microsoft Research in Redmond, Washington, from 1999–2021 and the head of the Cryptography Group from 2008–2021; her group developed Microsoft SEAL. In April 2021, Lauter joined Facebook AI Research (FAIR) as the West Coast Head of Research Science. She became the President-Elect of the Association for Women in Mathematics in February 2014 and served as President February 1, 2015 - January 31, 2017. (en)
