Die Mytilene war ein 1973 als Vega in Dienst gestelltes Fährschiff der griechischen . Sie stand seit 1992 mehr als 20 Jahre zwischen Piräus, Chios, Lesvos und Thessaloniki im Einsatz, ehe sie nach einem Maschinenschaden im Februar 2015 ausgemustert wurde. 2022 ging sie zum Abbruch ins türkische Aliağa.

Το πλοίο από το 1992 μέχρι και το 2013 εξυπηρετούσε τη γραμμή Πειραιά - Χίου - Μυτιλήνης, μέχρι και το 2013, που δρομολογήθηκε στη γραμμή Πειραιάς-Σύρος-Εύδηλος-Αγ. Κυρίκος-Φούρνοι-Καρλόβασι-Βαθύ. Από από το 2015 μέχρι το 2022 ήταν παροπλισμένο, αρχικά στο Καρλόβασι Σάμου και αργότερα στην Ελευσίνα, λόγω της διάλυσης της ΝΕΛ και σοβαρής βλάβης. (de) Mytilene was an inactive (as of October 2020) ferry ship of Greece, which used to be part of NEL Lines' fleet. She was built in 1973 in Japan as the Vega and put into service for NEL in 1992. She is a sister ship of Virgo, which also came to Greece as the GA Ferries' Rodanthi. She could accommodate up to 1300 passengers and 225 vehicles. The shipis powered by two Pielstick 16PC2-5V diesel engines with a maximum combined power of 19,200 bhp and reached service speeds up to 21 knots and maximum speed up to 23.8. She had economy class seating, a salon and bar for A and economy class passengers, a self service restaurant, dining room, jewellery safekeeping room, telephone and gift shop. She took her name from Mytilene, the largest city and capital of Lesvos. The ship has been laid up since 2015, initially in Karlovasi, Samos and later in Elefsina. The ship will be difficult to return to operating condition, due to engine failure and her company declaring bankruptcy. In 2020, the ship was bought by ANEN at auction and raised the Togolese flag.In 2022 she was sold for scrap as Lene and on 23 May 2022 she was beached for scrap in Aliaga, Turkey.
