Redelinghuys ist ein Ort in der Gemeinde Bergrivier, Distrikt West Coast, Provinz Westkap in Südafrika. 2011 hatte er 574 Einwohner. Er liegt etwa 190 Kilometer nördlich von Kapstadt. Wie bei vielen Orten im Sandveld ist der Kartoffelanbau ein Hauptwirtschaftsfaktor. Redelinghuys war ursprünglich Teil der Farm Wittedrift. Sir George Napier übergab diese 1841 an Hendrik Koetzee, der 1848 starb. J. N. L. Redelinghuys kaufte den Bauernhof und gab der Kirche ein Stück des Hofes als Geschenk. Der Bau der ersten Kirche begann 1866; 1873 fand der erste Gottesdienst statt. 1921 wurde eine neue Kirche errichtet, die alte Kirchenglocke ist noch in Gebrauch. (de)
Redelinghuys is a village in the Bergrivier Local Municipality in the Western Cape province of South Africa, located about 160 kilometres (100 mi) north of Cape Town on the Verlorevlei River. The 2001 Census recorded the population as 581 people in 167 households. The village is situated on the R366 regional route between Piketberg and Elands Bay. It is served by a police station, a public library, a satellite health clinic, and two primary schools. The town has a predominantly Victorian architecture. (en)
