Field Marshal Sir Samuel Hulse, GCH (27 March 1746 – 1 January 1837) was a British Army officer. He saw his first active duty during the Gordon Riots in June 1780 before commanding the 1st Battalion of the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards at key battles of the Flanders Campaign during the French Revolutionary Wars. He also commanded the 1st Guards Brigade at a later battle and then joined the retreat into Germany during the closing stages of the Flanders Campaign. He later took part in the Anglo-Russian invasion of Holland and then returned to England to become General Officer Commanding South East District. After completing active service in the Army, he served in the household of King George IV. (en)
Le maréchal Sir Samuel Hulse, GCH (27 mars 1746 – 1er janvier 1837) est un officier de l'armée britannique. Il effectue son premier service actif lors des émeutes de Gordon en juin 1780 avant de commander le 1er bataillon du Grenadier Guards lors de batailles clés de la campagne de Flandre pendant les Guerres de la Révolution française. Il commande également la 1re brigade de gardes lors d'une bataille ultérieure, puis rejoint la retraite en Allemagne lors des phases de clôture de la campagne de Flandre. Il participe ensuite à l'invasion anglo-russe de la Hollande, puis retourne en Angleterre pour devenir officier général commandant le district du Sud-Est.
