Sumanen (nach Hindi सुमन ‚suman‘) ist eine organische Verbindung, aus der Gruppe der polycyclischen aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffe. Die Verbindung ist strukturell verwandt mit Corannulen und Buckminster-Fullerenen.

Unlike fullerene, sumanene has benzyl positions which are available for organic reactions. De benaming sumaneen is afgeleid uit het Sanskriet Suman, dat zonnebloem betekent. Het is een wetenschappelijk interessante molecule, omdat ze kan beschouwd worden als een fragment van buckminsterfullereen. De centrale ring van het systeem bestaat weliswaar uit een zesring met afwisselend enkele en dubbele bindingen, maar toch zal deze ring geen groot aromatisch karakter vertonen.
