The TARIC code (TARif Intégré Communautaire; Integrated Tariff of the European Communities) is designed to show the various rules applying to specific products when imported into the EU. This includes the provisions of the harmonised system and the combined nomenclature but also additional provisions specified in Community legislation such as , and , which exist for the majority of the Community’s trading partners. In trade with third countries, the 10-digit Taric code must be used in customs and statistical declarations.

Zawiera m.in. kody towarów (nomenklatura celna), stawki celne wyrażone w procentach lub kwocie za określoną jednostkę dla danego państwa lub grupy państw, z którego towar przybywa, podstawę prawną z komentarzem (przypisem), okres ważności stawki celnej, dane do nadzoru importu i eksportu, limity ilościowe (kontyngenty), wskaźniki antydumpingowe, zawieszenia cła, preferencje celne, zwroty eksportowe, cła wyrównawcze, zakazy importu i eksportu. Nie zawiera informacji o narodowych podatkach takich jak stawki VAT czy akcyzy. Codziennie wsadowo generuje dane dla lokalnych systemów podatkowych (akcyza i VAT). Dane są zbierane i aktualizowane w centralnej bazie danych, która jest udostępniana poprzez publicznie dostępne internetowe bazy danych. Elk product valt hierbij onder een TARIC-code. De databank bevat de volgende informatie: * douanerechten * commerciële maatregelen: antidumping en maatregelen tegen namaak * regulering: verboden, beperkingen, limieten * statistiek: kwantificering (nl) A Pauta Integrada das Comunidades Europeias (TARIC) foi estabelecida e é regularmente actualizada pela Comissão Europeia, com base na Nomenclatura Combinada. A TARIC inclui: * subdivisões comunitárias complementares, denominadas «subposições TARIC», necessárias à designação de mercadorias que sejam objecto de medidas comunitárias específicas; * taxas dos direitos aduaneiros e outras imposições aplicáveis; * qualquer outro elemento de informação necessário à aplicação ou à gestão das medidas comunitárias em causa. Formadas a partir dos códigos numéricos da Nomenclatura Combinada (8 dígitos), as subposições TARIC são identificadas por um nono e um décimo algarismos, formando os códigos numéricos TARIC. A título excepcional, pode ser utilizado um código adicional TARIC de quatro algarismos para efeitos de aplicação das regulamentações comunitárias específicas que não estejam codificadas ou não estejam inteiramente codificadas nos décimo e décimo primeiro algarismos. Tendo em conta as frequentes alterações a que está sujeita, a TARIC deixou de ser publicada no Jornal Oficial, sendo permanentemente actualizada em linha na base de dados DDS (Tariff Data Dissemination System — Sistema de Difusão de Dados Pautais). Os Estados-Membros são informados por via electrónica das alterações da TARIC para que possam efectuar as necessárias adaptações nas respectivas e ficheiros pautais.
