The Tamsui Customs Wharf (traditional Chinese: 淡水海關碼頭; simplified Chinese: 淡水海关码头; pinyin: Dànshuǐ Hǎiguān Mǎtóu) is a wharf in Tamsui District, New Taipei, Taiwan. Until today, this is the only remaining pier in Taiwan built by the Qing Dynasty and being used as naval base today. (en) 淡水港又稱淡水（滬尾）海關碼頭，是淡水河的河口港，曾經為臺灣三大商港之一，因為地理位置重要，所以在此設通商貿易港，原本是滬尾水師守備營所築碼頭區，當年位置於現在的紅毛城前方河邊，目前屬財政部關務署基隆關所有、中華民國國軍管轄。淡水港之黃金時代約在1865年至1905年之間。 到了日治時代，淡水港渡過了黃金歲月，因河道日漸淤淺、大型船舶出入不便，轉而大力建設基隆港，兼以台北、基隆間鐵路之便，基隆港終而取代了淡水港昔日的地位。 (zh) |
