Woodruff) هي باحثة طبية أمريكية في مجالي تكاثر الإنسان وعلم الأورام، وتحديداً في علم بيولوجيا المبايض، الغدد الصماء وصحة المرأة. تشغل تريزا وودرف منصب أستاذ في برنامج توماس ج. واتكينز، وهي نائب الرئيس للبحوث ورئيس قسم العلوم الإنجابية بقسم النساء والولادة بكلية فينبرغ للطب في جامعة نورث وسترن في شيكاغو، إلينوي. أيضا وودرف هي عميد كلية الدراسات العليا وأستاذ في كلية ماكورميك للهندسة في جامعة نورث ويسترن في إيفانستون. ينسب لها الفضل في صياغة مصطلح «خصوبة الناجين من السرطان» وأسست اتحاد خصوبة الناجين من السرطان في مستشفى نورث ويسترن التذكاري، وهي أيضًا مؤسسة ورئيسة قسم الحفاظ على الخصوبة ومؤسسة ومديرة معهد أبحاث صحة المرأة في جامعة نورث وسترن. - Teresa Kaye Woodruff (* 1963) ist eine Biologin (Reproduktionsbiologie) an der Michigan State University. Woodruff ist vor allem für ihre Arbeiten zur Erhaltung der Fertilität nach Chemotherapie bekannt; sie prägte dafür den Begriff (oncofertility). Woodruff gelangen die Kultivierung von menschlichen Ovarialfollikeln und die erste Klonierung von Inhibin/Activin. Sie hat laut Datenbank Scopus einen h-Index von 78, laut Google Scholar einen von 96 (jeweils Stand August 2021). Woodruff erwarb 1985 an der einen Bachelor in Zoologie und in Chemie sowie 1989 bei an der Northwestern University einen Ph.D. in Biochemie, Molekularbiologie und Zellbiologie. Als Postdoktorandin arbeitete sie bei dem Biotechnologie-Unternehmen Genentech. Seit 1995 gehört sie zum Lehrkörper der Northwestern University. Hier hatte sie zuletzt Professuren für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe sowie für Molekulare Biowissenschaften inne. Mitte 2020 wechselte sie auf gleichlautende Professuren an der Michigan State University, wo sie auch Provost wurde. 2005 wurde Woodruff als Fellow in die American Association for the Advancement of Science, 2018 als Mitglied in die und die National Academy of Medicine und 2020 in die American Academy of Arts and Sciences gewählt. - Teresa K. Woodruff is an American medical researcher in human reproduction and oncology, with a focus on ovarian biology, endocrinology, and women's health. She joined Michigan State University as the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs in August 2020. Woodruff became the interim President of Michigan State University on November 4, 2022 after the resignation of Samuel L. Stanley. She was previously the Thomas J. Watkins Memorial Professor and Vice Chair for Research and Chief of the Division of Reproductive Science in Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Woodruff was Dean of the Graduate School and Professor in the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois as well. She is credited with coining the term oncofertility and founded the Oncofertility Consortium at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She is also founder and chief of the Division of Fertility Preservation and founder and director of the Women's Health Research Institute at Northwestern University. (en)
