تلين الرغامى والقصبات أو تلين القصبة والشعب الهوائية، هو حالة تتسم بليونة الدعم الغضروفي للرغامى (القصبة الهوائية) ما يؤدي إلى انخماصها. تؤثر تلك الحالة أيضًا على القصبات (الشعب الهوائية). ثمة شكلان من هذه الحالة النادرة: التلين الأولي والتلين الثانوي. التلين الأولي ولادي؛ أي يبدأ منذ الولادة. يحدث لأسباب وراثية بصورة أساسية. أما النوع الثانوي من تلين الرغامى والقصبات فمكتسب، ويبدأ عند البلوغ. يحدث النوع الثانوي بعد الحوادث أو الالتهابات المزمنة. أُشير إلى احتمالية علاج تلك الحالة باستخدام الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد في 28 مايو عام 2013. أنقذ هذا العلاج حتى الآن 3 أطفال على الأقل. La tracheobroncomalacia (TBM) o sindrome di Williams-Campbell è una condizione caratterizzata da flaccidità della cartilagine della trachea, con conseguente collasso tracheale. Questa condizione può altresì colpire i bronchi. Esistono due forme di questa rara patologia: TB primaria e TB secondaria. Nel primo caso la causa è genetica e la sintomatologia appare intorno ai 2 anni di età; nel secondo caso invece si presenta in seguito a traumi o infiammazioni croniche e si sviluppa (proprio la natura dell'eziologia) principalmente nell'età adulta. Il 28 maggio 2013 è stato reso nota una terapia tramite l'utilizzo di una trachea stampata in 3D. Grazie a ciò sono già stati salvati 3 bambini. (it)
Tracheobronchomalacia or TBM is a condition characterized by flaccidity of the tracheal support cartilage which leads to tracheal collapse. This condition can also affect the bronchi. There are two forms of this condition: primary TBM and secondary TBM. Primary TBM is congenital and starts as early as birth. It is mainly linked to genetic causes. Secondary TBM is acquired and starts in adulthood. It is mainly developed after an accident or chronic inflammation. Tracheobronchomalacia may also occur in people who have normal cartliginous structure of the trachea, but significant atrophy of the posterior wall, causing significant invagination of the trachea on expiration. In these cases it is more commonly known as Excessive Dynamic Airway Collapse (EDAC). (en)
