Durante a sua existência, o Ewiniar afetou Palau, Yap, leste da República Popular da China, as Ilhas Ryūkyū, a Coreia do Sul e a Coreia do Norte, ameaçando, por um curto período de tempo, a fazer landfall na Coreia do Norte, mas realmente atingindo a Coreia do Sul. O Ewiniar foi responsável por 40 mortes.
