A bilinear form B over a vector space
V is said to be non-degenerate when
- •
if B(𝐱,𝐲)=0 for all 𝐱∈V, then 𝐲=𝟎, and - •
if B(𝐱,𝐲)=0 for all 𝐲∈V, then 𝐱=𝟎.
