Newspaper Articles Newspaper Articles 7th June 1862, Page: 367, Column: 2 Accidents, Inquests, etc. Fatal Colliery Accident We have another frightful coal-pit accident to record. Four men and three boys were drowned in the Bradley Colliery, near Bilston, yesterday week. They were engaged in making a communication with an old pit, when the water which had therein accumulated burst in upon them and drowned them. Forty men were at work in another part of the pit, but they escaped.
