Powers/Abilities: The giant Ogur possessed superhuman strength (Class75?) and durability.

His major limitation was his lack of depth perception, due to the fact that he only had a single eye; although his vision was poor, Ogur could track an opponent by scent, "like the keenest hunting hound" (as per Hogun).

History:
(Thor I#138/2 (fb) - BTS) - Ogur's origins are unrevealed, but he came to dwell outside of the cave of Wazir, where he tested the worthiness of those who came to meet the wiseman.

(Thor I#138/2) - Seeking to learn the location of the Mystic Mountain, Thor, Fandral, and Hogun approached Wazir's cave; Ogur immediately attacked them, for he had been trained to battle all intruders, to protect his master.

After ripping the very ground from beneath the feet of Thor and Fandral, Ogur overpowered Hogun. But the one-eyed creature was felled by a mighty blow from Thor's hammer.

(Thor I#474 (fb) - BTS) - Under unrevealed circumstances, Ogur came to serve Mogul of the Mystic Mountain.

(Thor I#474 (fb)) - As part of Mogul's assault force against Asgard, Ogur pursued Fandral, who outwitted the cyclopean giant by standing underneath a smooth rock outcropping. Unable to perceive the cliff face due to his lack of depth perception, Ogur charged right into it, and knocked himself out.

(Thunderbolts I#9 (fb) - BTS) - Ogur apparently returned to Wazir, serving as his guardian once again.

(Thunderbolts I#9) - Ogur was summoned to Manhattan by forces unknown (see comments). Unable to comprehend what had happened to him, he went on a rampage, which drew the attention of the police--who proved ineffective against him--and two of the Thunderbolts: Mach-1 and Songbird.

Mach-1's various technological assaults also proved ineffective, and he commented that Ogur was like something Hercules or Thor ought to fight, which gave Songbird an idea. Just as Ogur grabbed her, Songbird unleashed a solid-sound replica of Thor's hammer, smiting the one-eyed giant, who fell unconscious.

Afterward, the senseless Ogur was apparently taken into custody by the police (see comments).

I wonder if Roy Thomas remembered that Ogur was not an agent of Mogul in the initial stories...

In Thunderbolts I#9 (1997), Ogur is listed as having first (and last) appeared in Thor I#138 -- they forgot about Thor I#474 (1994).

The last time Ogur was seen, he was on Earth, but there is still the possibility that he returned to Asgard and died in the Ragnarok in Thor II#85.

Although Ogur originally appeared to be about twice the height of Thor, he looked to be a bit larger in his subsequent appearances -- maybe Mogul magically enhanced his size when Ogur served him?
In one panel of Thor I#474, Ogur's eye was blue... maybe--rather than just being a coloring error--his eye changed color when he became enraged, and when it was red, he was really, really mad.

Ogur didn't say anything in his first two appearances, and during his battle with Mach-1 and Songbird, he only growled (RAHRRR); a caption in Thor I#138/2 described him as "dim-witted", so presumably Ogur lacked the mental capacity to speak..

And I don't believe it was ever revealed exactly why Ogur showed up in Manhattan during that Thunderbolts story. My guess is that he was also part of that plot of Morgan Le Fey, who summoned many magical beings from Asgard to Earth (@ Avengers III#1 (February, 1998)), but Ogur passed through a time-warp along the way, so he showed up a few months earlier than the others.
