Powers/Abilities: The members of the Turgentine Technenium were mechanoid forms of life with varying abilities and limitations, but not including many of those associated with organic life forms.

History:
(Starblast#4 (fb) - BTS) - The universe once was host to as many biomechanical races as it had organic ones.

The biomechanicals forged a mighty star-spanning empire known as the Turgentine Technenium and declared war upon all organics.

Through means lost to time, the organics eventually routed the Technenium.

Those members of the Technenium who survived became the Black Fleet, criss-crossing the galaxy, raining destruction upon organic races who crossed their paths.

Along the way, the Fleet coopted the services of various organic renegades, allowing them to satisfy their bloodthirsty urges by exterminating their own kind.

After Earth woman Kayla Ballatine, summoned by Scadam's Chief Examiner, destroyed virtually all of the Black Fleet's vessels, Skeletron was the Fleet's only known survivor.

(Starblast#4 - BTS) - Skeletron shared the history of the Turgentine Technenium with fellow mechanoid Fabrikant.

Obviously, there is a major story to be told of the massive war between the biomechanical vs. organic life forms in the distant past, but this is all we know of so far.
Maybe the story will be told someday...

But, anyway here's a list of robotic races/societies/significant beings active in space who may have been associated with the Turgentine Technenium (or who could be considered as part of a comeback)

And, of course, a bunch of other terrestrial or otherwise robots you can find here. And the list could be expanded to include cyborgs, artificial intelligences, etc.

  1. The Black Fleet is currently only profiled as part of Skeletron's profile. I think that, as the larger group of which Skeletron/Dark Seed was the sole survivor, it deserves its own group profile. Sure, there wouldn't be much in it, but there is definitely more information available about their activities than there is about the entire history of the Turgentine Technenium.
    --Yes, the Black Fleet absolutely needs a profile. I just won’t be able to get to it for awhile as I’m already working on so many things at the moment. Skeletron and Kayla Ballantine need expansions, as well! Maybe in 2026 or thereafter?
  2. Given Skeletron's attitude towards organics, I've never really understood what the meaning of "biomechanical" was supposed to be. I mean, surely the "bio" prefix wasn't added just because they were totally inorganic entities whose forms just happened to resemble those of organic beings? After all, Skeletron's true form was the Dark Seed starship itself, which could never have been mistaken for being biological.
    --Yeah, I was surprised to find that when I re-read and typed in everything virtually word for word in this profile. I have to wonder if they weren’t trying to use “bio” to mean living and just used the prefix incorrectly.
  3. I also would have liked to have learned more about the Turgentine Technenium, how it came to be, why the war started and how it ended. After all, we only know what Skeletron told Fabrikant and he could have been twisting the truth for his own ends. Who knows, maybe Skeletron was part of a radical anti-organic extremist group who triggered the war that got the entire Technenium wiped out? I would also have liked to have seen some other members of the multi-racial Turgentine Technenium, possibly individuals from the Black Fleet. Then again, I don't think that the Black Fleet was ever depicted as anything other than a fleet of starships.
    --Agreed!!! I would love to know more about the Turgentine Technenium. I would love some follow-up story that answered the above questions...and then maybe revealed that Skeletron left a duplicate of his mind somewhere (perhaps via Fabrikant), or perhaps another member of the Technenium gathered a new army from the races and beings above...maybe Father and/or the Descendants or someone from Avengers AI could coordinate the efforts on Earth!
