The country recruit, law student and former Australian handball champion played one game for Port Melbourne in 1911 before moving to the VFL to join . He left the club in <1913> and missed the war years working for the Home Affairs Department in Canberra and serving in Europe as both a soldier and a pilot. In 1916 he played in a services game in London.

With the war over Little returned to VFL football to join Melbourne in their winless <1919> campaign, and though he only appeared in two victories during <1920> it was one more than the wins he'd enjoyed in his 34 matches with the Students. After five games in the first half of <1920>, he went to the country, returning for one more match.

He later become a crown prosecutor and well known legal figure in Victoria.
