William C. Williams () (original) (raw)
William C. Williams was an amateur astronomer of Fort Worth, Texas. In 1969, he identified the missing Messier Object M91 with NGC 4548, which is now generally recognized (Williams 1969).
One of the little details known about William C. Williams is that in 1969, he earned the Messier Certificate No. 74 of the Astronomical League: The regular certificate was issued on February 26, the honorary certificate on June 26, 1969. The Astronomical League has him affiliated with "Gen. Dyn. of Ft. Worth." (Astronomical League, Messier Certificates)
