K2SAT [KAIST]
K2SAT is a South Korean 3U-CubeSat designed by the KAIST, Republic of Korea Air Force Academy and Chosun University.
It will demonstrate satellite imaging and transfer, and to test a voice repeating capability.
It carries the followings payloads:
- On-board camera
- On-board voice repeater consisting of a V/U transceiver with a 9k6 BSPK AX25 downlink for data and telemetry. It will be also capable of providing a single channel FM voice transponder.
- A 2 Mbit QPSK downlink on S Band.
The satellite was launched on Spaceflight Industry's SSO-A multi-satellite launch on a Falcon-9 v1.2 (Block 5) rocket.
