Lady Jane Gordon 2

Lady Jean Gordon was the daughter of George Gordon, 4th Earl of Huntly and Elizabeth Keith.3,1 She married, firstly, James Hepburn, 1st and last Duke of Orkney, son of Patrick Hepburn, 3rd Earl of Bothwell and Agnes Sinclair, on 24 February 1565/66.1 She and James Hepburn, 1st and last Duke of Orkney were divorced on 3 May 1567 on the grounds of adultery with one of her maids.1 She married, secondly, Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland, son of John Gordon, 11th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Helen Stuart, on 13 December 1573 at Strathbogie, ScotlandG.1 She married, thirdly, Alexander Ogilvy of Boyne.3 She died on 14 May 1629.4
She was also known as Jane Gordon. After her marriage, Lady Jean Gordon was styled as Countess of Bothwell on 24 February 1565/66. From 24 February 1565/66, her married name became Hepburn. From 13 December 1573, her married name became Gordon. Her married name became Ogilvy.3
