Thomas Dundas, 1st Baron Dundas of Aske was born on 16 February 1741 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,3 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Lawrence Dundas of Kerse, 1st Bt. and Margaret Bruce.1 He married Lady Charlotte FitzWilliam, daughter of William Fitzwilliam, 3rd Earl Fitzwilliam and Lady Anne Watson-Wentworth, on 14 May 1764 at Grosvenor Square, London, England.1,3 He died on 14 June 1820 at age 79 at Aske Hall, Yorkshire, England.1,3
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Richmond between 1763 and 1768.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1768.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Stirlingshire between 1768 and 1794.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Dundas, of Kerse, co. Stirling [G.B., 1762] on 21 September 1781.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1784.1 He held the office of Councillor of State to HRH The Prince of Wales.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant and Vice-Admiral of Orkney and Shetland between 1794 and 1820.1 He was created 1st Baron Dundas of Aske, co. York [Great Britain] on 13 August 1794.1

John Manners1

John Manners was born illegitimately in 1730.2,3 He was the son of Lord William Manners and Corbetta Smyth.2,3 He married Louisa Tollemache, Countess of Dysart, daughter of Lionel Tollemache, 4th Earl of Dysart and Lady Grace Carteret, on 4 September 1765.2 He died on 23 September 1792.4
