Edward Herbert, 3rd Baron Herbert of Chirbury was born circa 1633.2 He was the son of Richard Herbert, 2nd Baron Herbert of Chirbury and Lady Mary Egerton.2 He married, firstly, Anne Myddelton, daughter of General Sir Thomas Myddelton and Mary Napier, before 1660.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Brydges, daughter of George Brydges, 6th Baron Chandos of Sudeley and Lady Susan Montagu, on 20 August 1673.2 He died on 9 December 1678, without issue.2
He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Herbert of Castle Island [I., 1624] on 13 May 1655.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Herbert of Chirbury [E., 1629] on 13 May 1655.2 In 1659 he joined the abortive uprising by General Booth on behalf of King Charles II.2 He held the office of Custos Rotulorum of Montgomeryshire between 1660 and 1678.2 He held the office of Custos Rotulorum of Denbighshire between 1666 and 1678.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1669.2

Lady Frances Jane Scott was the daughter of John Scott, 1st Earl of Eldon and Elizabeth Surtees.1 She married Reverend Edward Bankes on 6 April 1820.1 She died on 6 August 1838.1
From 6 April 1820, her married name became Bankes.1

Reverend Edward Bankes1

Reverend Edward Bankes was born circa 1795 at Westminster, London, England.2 He married, firstly, Lady Frances Jane Scott, daughter of John Scott, 1st Earl of Eldon and Elizabeth Surtees, on 6 April 1820.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Maria Rice, daughter of Reverend Edward Rice and Charlotte Lascelles, on 3 September 1839.3 He died on 24 May 1867.1
He lived at Soughton Hall, Flintshire, WalesG.1 He held the office of Canon of Gloucester.2
