He graduated from Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2

Sir Edmund Henry Knowles Lacon, 3rd Bt.1

Sir Edmund Henry Knowles Lacon, 3rd Bt. was born on 14 August 1807.2 He was the son of Sir Edmund Knowles Lacon, 2nd Bt. and Eliza Dixon Beecroft.2 He married Eliza Georgina Hammet, daughter of James Esdaile Hammet, on 23 March 1839.2 He died on 6 September 1888 at age 81.2
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Lacon, of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk [U.K., 1818] on 3 July 1839.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Great Yarmouth between 1852 and 1857.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Great Yarmouth between 1859 and 1868.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North Norfolk between 1868 and 1885.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment and 1st Volunteer Battalion, East Division, Royal Artillery.2

Captain Henry James Lacon1

Captain Henry James Lacon was born on 27 November 1810.1 He was the son of Sir Edmund Knowles Lacon, 2nd Bt. and Eliza Dixon Beecroft.2 He married Caroline Louisa Bartlett Roberts, daughter of John Roberts, on 9 July 1844.1 He died on 15 May 1867 at age 56.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

From 9 July 1844, her married name became Lacon.
