Rosalind Margaret Watney1

Rosalind Margaret Watney was the daughter of Vernon James Watney and Lady Gwendolen Margaret Wallop.2,1 She married Major Hon. Charles Henry Lyell, son of Leonard Lyell, 1st Baron Lyell and Mary Stirling, on 18 May 1911.1 She died on 22 May 1957.
Her married name became Lyell. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1918.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the County of London.1

Leonard Lyell, 1st Baron Lyell

Leonard Lyell, 1st Baron Lyell was born on 21 October 1850.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Lyell and Katherine Murray Horner.2 He married Mary Stirling, daughter of Reverend John Mayne Stirling and Rosetta Cheyne, on 4 July 1874.1 He died on 18 September 1926 at age 75.1
He graduated from London University, London, England, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Orkney and Shetland between 1885 and 1900.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was created 1st Baronet Lyell, of Kinnordy, co. Forfar [U.K.] on 24 January 1894.1 He was created 1st Baron Lyell, of Kinnordy, co. Forfar [U.K., 1914] on 4 July 1914.1

Mary Stirling1

Mary Stirling was the daughter of Reverend John Mayne Stirling and Rosetta Cheyne.1,2 She married Leonard Lyell, 1st Baron Lyell, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Lyell and Katherine Murray Horner, on 4 July 1874.2 She died on 24 February 1929.2
Her married name became Lyell. After her marriage, Mary Stirling was styled as Baroness Lyell on 4 July 1914.
