Esther Openshaw was the daughter of James Openshaw.2 She married Thomas Ramsbotham, son of John Ramsbotham and Rebecca Bury, on 26 May 1802.1 She died in January 1826.1

From 28 April 1857, her married name became Edwards.1 From 1878, her married name became Eden.1

John Ramsbotham1

John Ramsbotham was born on 26 December 1839 at Lancashire, England.1 He was the son of James Ramsbotham and Jane Fielden.2 He married, firstly, Emilie Helen Leigh Clare, daughter of William Clare, on 28 July 1864 at West Derby, Lancashire, England.1,3 He married, secondly, Sophia Borman Standaloft on 1 September 1885.1 He died on 23 November 1905 at age 65 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.3
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.1
