Hubert George Charles Mostyn, 7th Baron Vaux of Harrowden was born on 4 June 1860 at London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Major Hon. George Charles Mostyn and Mary Monk.2 He married, firstly, Eleanor Margaret Matheson, daughter of Sir Alexander Matheson of Lochalsh, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Irving Perceval, on 25 August 1886 at London, EnglandG.3 He married, secondly, Margaret Annette Jane Chichele-Plowden, daughter of Sir William Chichele Plowden, on 15 May 1902 at Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.3 He married, thirdly, Mary Winifrede Teresa Radcliffe, daughter of Sir Joseph Edward Radcliffe, 4th Bt. and Mary Katherine Talbot, on 5 June 1924 at London, EnglandG.3 He died on 25 October 1935 at age 75.3
He was educated at Oscott College, Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, England.3 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1883 and 1899.3 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Vaux of Harrowden, co. Northampton [E., 1523] on 28 January 1883.3 In 1895 he bought back Great Harrowden from George Wentworth-FitzWilliam, whose ancestor had acquired the property exactly 300 years before from Charles Knollys, self-styled Earl of Banbury, son of the Nicholas Knollys previously Vaux, who was bequeathed the place by the 4th Baron Vaux of Harrowden.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)3 On his death, his Barony fell into abeyance.3

Eleanor Margaret Matheson1

Eleanor Margaret Matheson was born in 1868.2 She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Matheson of Lochalsh, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Irving Perceval.1,3 She married Hubert George Charles Mostyn, 7th Baron Vaux of Harrowden, son of Major Hon. George Charles Mostyn and Mary Monk, on 25 August 1886 at London, EnglandG.3 She died on 18 September 1896.1
From 25 August 1886, her married name became Mostyn. After her marriage, Eleanor Margaret Matheson was styled as Baroness Vaux of Harrowden on 25 August 1886. She lived at Inverness, Inverness-shire, ScotlandG.

Sir Alexander Matheson of Lochalsh, 1st Bt.1

Sir Alexander Matheson of Lochalsh, 1st Bt. was born on 16 January 1805.2 He was the son of John Matheson of Attadale and Margaret Matheson.2 He married, firstly, Mary Macleod, daughter of James Crawford Macleod of Geanies, in 1840.2 He married, secondly, Lavinia Mary Stapleton, daughter of Thomas Stapleton and Mary Juliana Gerard, on 19 July 1853.2 He married, thirdly, Eleanor Irving Perceval, daughter of Spencer Perceval and Anna Eliza Macleod, on 17 April 1860.1 He died on 27 July 1886 at age 81.2
He was partner of Jardine Matheson and Matheson & Company.2 He purchased lands of Ardintoul in 1839.2 He purchased lands of Inverinate in 1844.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Inverness Burghs between 1847 and 1868.2 He purchased the territorial Barony of Lochalsh in 1851.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Ross-shire between 1868 and 1884.2 He was created 1st Baronet Matheson, of Lochalsh, co. Ross [U.K.] on 15 May 1882.2
