CONVOY HX 312
Deparated New York City on Oct. 5-1944 and arrived Liverpool on the 21st.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 76 ships in this convoy.
Notes:
Additionally, the Rescue Vessel Copeland sailed with this convoy. She was on her 31st voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde with the westbound Convoy ON 254 on Sept. 16-1944, to Halifax Oct. 2 - returning with HX 312 from Halifax Oct. 7, to Clyde Oct. 20. ("Convoy Rescue Ships", Arnold Hague). Her next voyage was with ON 264 and HX 323.
Commodore, Vice Admiral M. L. Goldsmith was in Pacific Enterprise. Commodore's notes are not available.
