Kravtsov, Yuri Fedorovich


Russian officer. Lieutenant General, Chief of the Main Directorate for Space Units of the Ministry of Defense 1979-1980.

Born: 1924. Died: 1994-01-01.

Entered military in 1942, served as a bomber pilot in World War II, participated on attacks on Berlin. Entered Zhukovskiy Academy, then assigned to Sixth Directorate VVS (transports). Then Third Directorate GURVOS space forces, Senior Officer of a Unit in January 1961, and increasingly responsible positions thereafter. Recipient of Lenin Prize in 1989.
