German-American architect. Member of von Braun's team at Peenemuende and in US; designed the buildings, roads, and infrastructure at Peenemuende and at Huntsville.
Born: 1907-03-13. Died: 1986-01-01. Birth Place: Germany.
Luehrsen was the architect and planner for von Braun's rocket team at the development center at Karlshagen, Peenemuende. He designed the buildings, roads, and other infrastructure at Peenemuende and then again years later at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. His work includes some of the buildings still in use by the Marshall Space Flight Center at the Arsenal and the Memorial Parkway. He passed away in Germany.
