Coat of Arms

Shield Or, issuant from base a triplemount Azure, at its base a hole Sable, the entrance of a mine, edged by stones Or and charged with hammer and mallet Argent in saltire, on chief a hazelnut branch Vert having two leaves and three nuts Gules .
Meaning:
According to source hole, hammer and mallet are symbolising mining, the branch is said to be canting and representing the former muncipality of Haßlinghausen.

Flag and banner and were approved by Regierungspräsident Arnsberg on 7 July 1980, the coat of arms on 21 February 1973.
