Shield parted per fess, above 16-fold chequered of Azure and Or ordered 4x4, beneath Or a lion passant Azure, armed and tongued Gules.
Meaning:
I have got no information about the chequered field. The lion and the colours blue and yellow belong to Braunschweig district, to which the municipality belonged.
The arms were approved on 16 January 1979.

Bahrdorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale of Azure and Or, an eradicated oak in counterchanged colours with four leaves and three acorns.
Meaning:
The municipality's name means "village in the forest". The number of leaves is alluding to the four settlement cores Bahrdorf proper, Mackendorf, Rickensdorf and Saalsdorf.

Grafhorst Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, a poplar twig Argent with three leaves over a bar wavy Argent.
Meaning:
Though blazon denotes the twig as poplar, it is probably ironwood (family: Carpinus). The municipality's name is of Slavic origin, derived from "hrab", meaning "ironwood". The twig then is thus canting. The bar wavy is representing Aller River.

Groß Twülpstedt Coat of Arms

Shield Vert an annulet Or.
Meaning:
The arms are reminding on Hermann Conring, professor in Helmstedt and universal scientist. He bought an estate in Groß Twülpstedt in 1652. The annulet is taken from his personal arms, alluding to the suffix "Ring" (= annulet). The colours are representing the matured grain and the lush pastures.
The arms were approved on 10 October 1960 by President of Braunschweig district.

Velpke Coat of Arms

Shield Vert a quarry Argent.
Meaning:
The "quarry" consists of a staple of ten white bricks ordered 1:2:3:4. It is alluding to quarries of Velpke sandstone. The quarries had been the base for three stonecutters workshops having more than 1000 employees in 1930.
The arms were approved on 21 July 1960.
