Introduction

In the province of Alicante, there are several municipalities that have the Aragonese colours (yellow flag with four red stripes) with the municipal CoA in the center. The municipality of La Vila Joiosa (Spanish: Villajoyosa, 20,45 km� and 32.534 hab., 2008) is located in the comarca of Marina Alta.

"Azur, sobre ondas de plata y azur dos torres de plata entre las que boga una carabela mastilada y vestida de plata, surmontada de un losanje de Aragón. Rehabilitado por Real Decreto de 29-X-1976"
