Introduction

I was looking through a book store, and I saw a cover with a flag on it. The book is Corsair by Chris Bunch and appears to be a pirate story, even though it was in the Science Fiction/Fantasy section.

Unidentified flag or pennant

The flag is a black-green-white horizontal band with a black skull and crossed cutlasses on the green and white. A picture of the cover is shown at Amazon. I didn't buy the book, so I can't say if the flag is mentioned in it. Anyone read it?
